Pastoral Care
Pastoral Visitor
Everyone in our church has a Pastoral Visitor who is their ‘Caring’ contact with church. The Pastoral Visitors are grouped into areas with an Area Coordinator overseeing each area.
Annual Memorial Service
As part of our church’s Pastoral Care we hold an Annual Memorial Service each November to remember anyone from our church, or a relation of anyone from our church, who has died in the previous year. These will include people whose Funeral Services have been conducted by our own Ministry Team and those conducted in other places.
Flower Distribution
Flower Distribution is part of our caring as a church. We have a team of people who arrange the flowers, from the weekly displays in church, into bouquets/arrangements and then take them to people who may be celebrating a special event or who are poorly or bereaved, for example. We take flowers to people confined in their own homes and can also arrange Home Communion for these members.
Welcoming Church
We aim to be a welcoming church. We have a team of Door Stewards whose job it is to welcome people into church each Sunday. New people are handed a Welcome Pack and subsequently are invited to a Newcomers’ Tea to meet other people and learn more about our church.
Baptism
We welcome parents bringing their children for Baptism. The Minister will explain what this entails and we have a Cradle Roll/First Steps secretary who will keep in contact with the families.
